In his statement on Monday evening Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced a series of strict new measures. Apart from the closure of libraries, playgrounds outdoor gyms and places of worship, gatherings of more than two people (excluding people who live together) will be banned. 

In light of this, there will be no further apiary meetings or other branch activities for the foreseeable future.  The Spring Convention has been cancelled, as have all BBKA examinations.

I am working with my committee to ensure the bees are tended but it is impossible to say for how long these restrictions will be in place. Please refer to our website for updates.
