Did you know that because the BBKA is a charity, you can open an account with cash and carry outlets like Macro or Bookers?

If you take your proof of ID, proof of address and your BBKA membership card to these outlets, they will open an account for you.

Currently, Macro are selling 2 x 25kg of granulated sugar for £26. By my calculation, that’s about 24p per lb.

Those members that have registered on BeeBase will have received a starvation notice that warns about bees not having enough stores or forage at the moment. This is one way to provide syrup without it costing a fortune.
